Description
ORIGINAL British issue >> Of all the LPs in my collection, it's these original English Beatles LPs that I regret parting company with the most...
Check out all Seven photos to see this Beautiful, Gently (& obviously) Rarely played ORIGINAL U.K. issue of The BEATLES' Rubber Soul mono LP from 1965 (Parlophone #PMC 1267) with the etchings in the runout zones: "XEX 579-5" / "XEX 580-5" >> (See detailed description of LP below).
These originals are famous for their bold "loudness", clarity, & fidelity and factory samples were among the very earliest of pressings from the master plates so this one HAS to sound incredible. The Beatles & George Martin placed all of their emphasis on producing these mono recordings >> any stereo versions of these early mono recordings were transferred to vinyl with little or no involvement of the band. Also, early UK Beatles albums contained 1 to 2 more songs than their U.S. counterparts.
I bought this one last Spring from a highly reputable London audiophile/dealer and I originally had plans to keep it as part of my listening library but I haven't owned a turntable in a few years & it will probably be a while before I buy a new one, IF I buy one at all. I've been surfing eBay for two years and have built up a collection of over 400 cherry-picked vintage LPs (99.9% factory sealed and NO Record Clubs) and I've decided to sell them.
This LP is VERY FINE++: the shimmering vinyl looks NEAR MINT condition, with very little evidence that it's been played: NO visible marks on the vinyl, NO manufacturing defects, and only a few, very subtle ghost-mark scuffs on the label near the center hole; the gentleman from whom I bought it from said that there's just the slightest detection of a typical & subtle 'crackle' sound at one or two places.
>>> Glossy cover ("Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London") with a few mini-to-small creases at the edges of the cover and two larger ones at upper right & lower left quadrants; One corner bump to the lower right; a slight degree of wear to all four corner tips; Light to moderate degree of yellowing age discoloration on the back side; a slight degree of impress of the round vinyl edge to the front cover (aka "ring wear"); NO water damage, NO writing; NO promo cuts nor holes, NO promo stamps; NO seam splits; spine print is centered but the letters are slightly taller than the spine depth; NO Record Club. Original nice-quality inner sleeve.
A beautiful & well-crafted specimen of this masterpiece.

IMPORTANT: Buyer pays for shipping >> Media Mail is $4.00 for 1 LP, or $4,50 for 2, or $5.00 for 3, or $5.50 for 4. A second box would start at $4 and 50 cents for each additional LP up to the box capacity, and so on... I use good quality boxes that will hold about 4 single LPs each & I pack them well to greatly reduce the risk of transit damage (seam splits, etc...). I can also ship outside the continental U.S. but that usually gets a little expensive so keep that in mind.
