Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'Rubber Soul' and is a 1965 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY RARE INDEED!!!! THIS IS THE 1965 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSING WITH 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS, AND IS KNOWN AS THE 'LOUD CUT' 1ST PRESSING!!!! IT IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THE DIFFERENCE ON THESE 'LOUD CUT' 1ST MONO PRESSINGS - WHEN COMPARING TO A LATER STANDARD MONO PRESSING!!!! FOR THOSE THAT DONT ACTUALLY KNOW - THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE ON THE 'LOUD CUT' PRESSING COMPARED TO THE STANDARD LATER MONO PRESSING IS THE GROOVE SPACING ON THE RECORDS. IF YOU CHECK THE RUN OFF GROOVE ON THE LOUD CUT PRESSING - YOU WILL FIND (PARTICULARLY ON SIDE 2) THAT THERE IS A FAR BIGGER RUN OFF GROOVE ON THE 'LOUD CUT' PRESSINGS - THAN THE STANDARD LATER MONO PRESSINGS!!!! WHY THIS WAS CHANGED - I CANNOT SAY - BUT PERHAPS THERE WAS SOME KIND OF PROBLEM TO PROMPT EMI TO SPACE OUT THE GROOVES MORE ON THE LATER MONO PRESSINGS? WHAT IS CERTAIN THOUGH IS THAT ONLY THE VERY EARLIEST MONO 'LOUD CUT' PRESSINGS OF 'RUBBER SOUL' WERE PRESSED LIKE THIS AND THEY ARE VERY HARD TO FIND!!!! BUT NOT ONLY THIS - BUT THIS RARE 'LOUD CUT' MONO 1ST PRESSING HAS A MEGA RARE E.J.DAY COVER!!!! IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND E.J.DAY COVERS ON MOST BEATLES LPS - BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE VERY RAREST!!!! NEARLY EVERY MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP WAS PRESSED WITH A GARROD & LOFTHOUSE COVER - AND FINDING AN 'E.J.DAY' COVER ON THIS LP IS EXTREMELY RARE INDEED!!!! NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP HAS A 'FACTORY SAMPLE' STICKER ON ONE SIDE OF THE LABELS - SHOWING JUST HOW EARLY THIS 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING REALLY IS!!!! THIS IS THE 1965 'EARLIEST' MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP - WITH 1/1 'LOUD CUT' MATRIXES, 1ST PRESS EMITEX INNER SLEEVE AND MEGA RARE 1ST PRESS E.J.DAY FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER!!!! EARLIEST 'LOUD CUT' MONO 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP ARE EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
This is the ORIGINAL MONO UK 'Earliest' 1st pressing from 1965 and is in GREAT condition!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 1965 MONO 1st Pressing with a Yellow & Black Parlophone Label, a KT tax code, 'Sold in the UK' text, and the 'Gramophone Company' edge text. The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1. The Mother & Stamper codes are EXTREMELY early being 1/HA on Side 1 & Side 2's stampers are PP. However I cannot read the mother codes on this side. There looks to have been 3 attempts to stamp the mother code on this Side - with one digit looking like a 'C', one digit looking like a 'G' and one digit looking like a '3'. Either way - these are EXTREMELY early mother and stamper codes!!!! The Cat. No is PMC 1267 on the ORIGINAL Yellow & Black Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, 3 or 4 small hairlines, 1 MEGA light scuffline and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays BRILLIANTLY with NO nasty loud pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!! There is NO groovewear, and NO distortion either!!!! The record must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL Emitex inner!!!! The MEGA RARE E.J.Day Flipback 1st Press Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), a few creases (mainly towards the right of the cover - cover is still flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and barely ANY yellowing!!!! There is also a VERY small light patch of wear in the top left corner on the reverse of the cover - though this is on the white part of the cover, so it barely shows - and certainly isnt very noticeable AT ALL!!!! The cover has NO splits, NO rips, NO staining, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better!!!! THIS LP IS MASSIVELY RARE AS A MONO 'LOUD CUT' 1ST PRESSING (WITH MEGA RARE E.J.DAY COVER) AND PLAYS BRILLIANTLY - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this RARE Beatles LP!!!!
