Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'Revolver' and is an ORIGINAL UK 1966 MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Yellow & Black Parlophone label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE BEATLES RAREST LPS EVER AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT THIS IS THE ULTRA RARE '606-1' MONO 1ST PRESSING (THAT PLAYS THE WRONG MIX OF 'TOMMORROW NEVER KNOWS') AND IS ONE OF THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER MADE!!!!  THIS MIX WAS NEVER INTENDED FOR RELEASE - AND THIS INCREDIBLE MISTAKE WAS NOTICED ON THE VERY FIRST 'DAY OF RELEASE' AND WAS IMMEDIATELY CHANGED TO THE CORRECT MIX ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  THIS 'WRONG MIX' IS CLEARLY SHOWN BY 'XEX-606-1' SIDE 2 MATRIX WHICH PLAYS THE WRONG MIX OF 'TOMMORROW NEVER KNOWS' (CHANGED ON ALL LATER PRESSINGS)!!!!  ONLY AN ABSOLUTELY TINY HANDFUL WERE EVER PRESSED LIKE THIS - BEFORE IT WAS CHANGED IMMEDIATELY!!!!  AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHY THIS LP IS SO SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND TODAY!!!!  AND FOR ME THIS ULTRA RARE '606-1' MIX (KNOWN AS REMIX 11) SOUNDS FAR FAR BETTER THAN THE STANDARD VERSION!!!!  FOR THOSE THAT DONT KNOW THE MIX DIFFERENCES - THE MOST OBVIOUS DIFFERENCES ARE THAT THE 'SEAGULL' TYPE EFFECTS ARE FAR MORE PROMINENT ON THIS RARE MIX, AND THE 'PIANO' ENDING IS ALSO LONGER, AS WELL AS OTHER MORE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES.  THIS IMPOSSIBLY RARE MIX REALLY DOES SOUND INCREDIBLE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION OVERALL!!!!  IN FACT EVEN UNDER LIGHT 95% OF THE LP LOOKS SUPERB!!!!  AND THE ULTRA RARE TRACK 'TOMMORROW NEVER KNOWS' WITH ITS DIFFERENT MIX PLAYS SUPERBLY!!!!  HOWEVER ON THE TRACK 'TAXMAN' IS A NOTICEABLE AREA OF SCUFFING AND ALSO A HAIRLINE MARK ON THAT SAME TRACK.  AND SO, FOR THIS REASON I DECIDED TO ALSO INCLUDE A STANDARD MONO PRESSING OF THIS LP TOO (IN BRILLIANT CONDITION)!!!!  SO - NOT ONLY CAN THE BUYER HEAR 'TAXMAN' IN ALL ITS GLORY (ON THE STANDARD MONO DISC) - BUT ALSO BE ABLE TO COMPARE THE ULTRA RARE 'TOMMORROW NEVER KNOWS' WRONG MIX - WITH THE CORRECTED ONE!!!!  AND MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT - APART FROM 'TAXMAN' THE 606-1 1ST PRESS DISC IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1966 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS YELLOW & BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'DR ROBERT' CREDIT ON THE SIDE 2 LABEL (LATER ONES HAVE 'DOCTOR' INSTEAD), 1ST PRESS 'GRAMOPHONE COMPANY' EDGE TEXT, 1ST PRESS 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, 1ST PRESS PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK MONO 1st Pressing from 1966 and is in BRILLIANT condition overall!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are XEX 605-2 & YEX 606-1 (the 1st Press matrix numbers!).  The Cat. No is PMC 7009 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Yellow & Black Parlophone label (see picture) and is a 1966 MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels on BOTH records are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with barely ANY wear AT ALL, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl on BOTH discs (apart from what was mentioned above on 1 track on the 606-1 disc) are in BRILLIANT condition overall!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and the standard Mono Pressing has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 MEGA hairlines, only 2 or 3 ULTRA light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  The 606-1 1st Pressing is also EXACTLY the same (apart from what is mentioned above on that 1 track ONLY).  THE RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is great to find that the playing of the records is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  They play with NO pops, NO clicks, NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  This of course does NOT include 'Taxman' on the 606-1 disc as I have not play graded it (nor would I recommend doing so) - but of course you can hear the MONO 1st Press mix of Taxman of course on the standard Mono disc (supplied)!!!!  And most importantly of all you can compare BOTH mixes of 'Tommorrow Never Knows' - because this auction includes BOTH pressings with TWO different mixes!!!!  The '606-1' 1st Press record also has some slight background sound between tracks (NOT in the music) - but this is largely irrelevant as the standard Mono disc plays virtually SILENTLY!!!!  And most importantly of all - the ALL IMPORTANT track 'Tommorrow Never Knows' (with the WRONG mix) on the 1st Press 606-1 record plays SUPERBLY!!!!  There is NO groovewear and NO distortion on either record!!!!  And apart from the problem mentioned above (and mentioned now SIX times throughout this description!) on 'Taxman' of the 606-1 1st Press disc - the records must grade Very Good++ if not better!!!!  Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The records also come in their ORIGINAL 1st Press plain white inner sleeves!!!!  The 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), barely ANY creases AT ALL (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), AWESOME shiny laminate and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with only VERY slight yellowing, NO grubbyness, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO ringwear, and NO writing!!!!  Because of the VERY slight yellowing on the reverse I will MEGA strictly downgrade this cover to Very Good++++ if not better - though in reality it deserves a FAR higher grading as it is PERFECTLY flat, has SUPERB shiny laminate, and is EXTREMELY hard to find like this!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE Beatles LP!!!!  THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL UK 1966 MONO '606-1' 1ST PRESSING OF "REVOLVER" BY THE BEATLES, IN BRILLIANT CONDITION OVERALL!!!!  Dont forget to take a look at all my other items including many other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have.
