RARE & ORIGINAL U.K. issue >> Of all the LPs in my collection, it's these original English Beatles LPs that I regret parting company with the most... and this one is the most interesting of all. The British gentleman from whom I bought it from said that there's just the slightest detection of a typical & subtle 'crackle' sound at one or two places. Most interestingly, he said this is one of the very earliest pressings and that it has an insanely rare, extended version of "Tomorrow Never Knows". As I understand it, someone decided to shorten the track very shortly after the pressings had begun (probably Lennon himself and perhaps George Martin, as well).
>> Check out all Six photos to see this Beautiful, Gently, and Rarely played ORIGINAL U.K. issue of The BEATLES' Revolver mono LP from 1966 (Parlophone #PMC 7009) with the EARLY stamp-codes in the runout zones: "XEX 605-2" / "XEX 606-1" (See detailed description of LP below).
These originals are famous for their bold "loudness", clarity, & fidelity and this is one of the very earliest of pressings from the master plates so this one HAS to sound incredible. The Beatles & George Martin placed all of their emphasis on producing these mono recordings >> any stereo versions of these early mono recordings were transferred to vinyl with little or no involvement of the band. Also, early UK Beatles albums contained 1 to 2 more songs than their U.S. counterparts.
I bought this one last Spring from a highly reputable British audiophile/dealer and I originally had plans to keep it as part of my listening library but I haven't owned a turntable in a few years & it will probably be a while before I buy a new one, IF I buy one at all. I've been surfing eBay for two years and have built up a collection of over 400 cherry-picked vintage LPs (99.9% factory sealed and NO Record Clubs) and I've decided to sell them.
This LP is VERY FINE++: the shimmering vinyl looks NEAR MINT condition, with very little evidence that it's been played: one very small visible mark on track 7 ("She Said, She Said") and only a few ghost-mark scuffs on the label near the center hole.
>>> SUPER Glossy cover ("Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending") with a few mini-creases at the edges of the cover (the standard for these type of covers); One VERY small mini corner bump to the upper left; NO wear to all four corner tips (nice & pointy); just a tiny bit of subtle yellowing age discoloration at the cover opening (not noticeable unless under the brightest of lights); a slight degree of impress of the round vinyl edge to the front cover; NO water damage, NO writing; NO promo cuts nor holes, NO promo stamps; NO seam splits; spine print is slightly off-centered; NO Record Club. Original nice-quality inner sleeve (moderate degree of age-yellowing).
>> This is a beautiful & well-crafted specimen of this masterpiece.

IMPORTANT: Buyer pays for shipping >> Media Mail is $4.00 for 1 LP, or $4,50 for 2, or $5.00 for 3, or $5.50 for 4. A second box would start at $4 and 50 cents for each additional LP up to the box capacity, and so on... I use good quality boxes that will hold about 4 single LPs each & I pack them well to greatly reduce the risk of transit damage (seam splits, etc...). I can also ship outside the continental U.S. but that usually gets a little expensive so keep that in mind.
