Description

This auction is for a rare copy of The Beatles - Revolver, in excellent condition and with the wrong mix of “Tomorrow Never Knows”.

This is a MONO 1st UK very early pressing.  Cat. No. PMC 7009. Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-1. Stamper codes:  3/T & 2/O.

The early 1st pressings of Revolver had a wrong mix of “Tomorrow Never Knows”.  This was quickly corrected in the second pressing, and  although you can find the 1st pressing with the incorrect mix on Ebay fairly easily, it is, as usual with early Beatles albums, difficult to find one in excellent condition, and this copy is in excellent condition.

The labels are in excellent (-) condition, with only faint spindle marks and a perfect center hole, no markings and a strong, crisp look.  The vinyl is also in excellent condition, with only a few very small, faint  marks, no scratches, no hairlines and only a few very light and small paper scuffs.  The original “patents” inner sleeve in fully intact and in very good condition.  The cover is in excellent condition, a strong copy with only the slightest of yellowing, very faint ring impression, a small amount of minor creasing, no edge wear, no spine wear, and no corner wear.

This copy plays very well, rated at excellent.  There is no nasty pops or nasty crackling, no skips, no distortions, and only very light crackling on the run ins.  There are a couple light pops on “Good Day Sunshine”, but they are not nasty ones.  “Love You To” and “Here, There, and Everywhere” are good test songs for this album, and those songs play very well on this copy.

This LP was sourced in the UK by a reputable and well-established UK dealer about 5 years ago when I acquired my UK Beatles collection. It has not been played even once since I purchased it, other than my initial play to verify condition upon purchase, and just recently once again to have one more listen to this incredible sounding UK music. There is nothing that sounds like an excellent condition UK 1st press Beatles album… certainly no CD sounds like this.   I am now selling off my prized collection of UK Beatles albums.  Check my other current listings, including some rarities, and I will be listing more, so keep an eye out.

I will ship to most locations worldwide; for other than the USA, Canada and UK please contact me first before bidding.  The LP will be shipped with professional quality packaging.  Please contact me with any questions.  Shipping and insurance at actual cost only, I make no money on shipping.  Paypal preferred, please contact me before bidding for any other payment.
