The One Boxed EMI variations are one of my favorite for Beatles records for several reasons as explained. The vinyl is a much thicker and more durable than later pressings and were always pressed from the original earliest masters. The covers are much more desirable and feature Laminated fronts. Also the cover has a flip back at the rear (Later issues do not feature this) I have found that the audio quality on these variations unbeatable due to the fact that early original masters were used to press these.
Another from my personal collection of over UK Beatles albums that I have accumulated over a period of more than 45 years! I have more than 1000 UK Beatles albums alone in my collection, (I rarely ever purchased foreign pressings) I have always been fascinated even to this day, by the differences in the audio mixes from one vinyl to another which is why I have so many variations in my collection. Here on offer is a totally original 1969 issued copy of The Beatles Ruber Soul featuring the 'one boxed EMI Parlophone labels'. The rarety and collectability about this album is that this has obviously only ever been played a minimal amount of times, which is quite rare on a 45 year old Beatles record, which are normally found played to death! The original and correct issue Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover is in exceptional condition, unusually super glossy in appearance and white, (often seen very yellowed with age, not this one!) also the spine is nice and square, without the normal crushing and all text is readable! The vinyl has also very minimal signs of use , in fact I would say this has barely been played!, just a minimal amount of spider traces on each side! I have Play tested the vinyl and recorded this for you to hear for your self in the player below, At very loud volume prior to listing The audio is very clear and vibrant throughout without signs of any distortion what so ever! I have graded the audio near as mint as I heard it in my opinion! Probably one of the best copies that you could ever hope for one of the best copies that I have heard!

The Vinyl
Rubber Soul is the sixth studio album by English rock group the Beatles. It was recorded in just over four weeks to make the Christmas market, and was released on December 3, 1965.
It was produced by George Martin. Unlike the five albums that preceded it, Rubber Soul was recorded during a continuous period, whereas the group had previously recorded albums during breaks in between tour dates or other projects. After this, Beatles albums would be made without the burden of other commitments, except for the production of short promotional films.
Rubber Soul incorporates R&B, pop, soul, folk rock and psychedelic music styles. The album is regarded by musicologists as a major artistic achievement that continued the Beatles' artistic maturation while attaining widespread critical and commercial success.
The album's name comes from the term plastic soul which popular African American soul musicians coined to describe Mick Jagger, a white musician singing soul music. It was the second Beatles album – after the British version of A Hard Day's Night – to contain only original material; the Beatles would record no more cover songs for their records until 1969, with the "Maggie Mae" excerpt appearing on Let It Be.
Rubber Soul is regarded by fans and critics alike as one of the greatest albums in popular music history!
Virtually all of the album's songs were composed immediately after the Beatles' return to London following their North American tour.
The Beatles broadened their sound on the album, with influences drawn from African American soul music, the contemporary folk-rock of Bob Dylan and The Byrds, and the vocal harmony pop of The Beach Boys.
The album also saw the Beatles expanding rock and roll's instrumental resources, most notably on "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" through George Harrison's use of the Indian sitar. He had been introduced to it via the instrumental score for their 1965 film Help!.
Although The Kinks had incorporated droning guitars to mimic the sitar after a visit to India on "See My Friends", "Norwegian Wood" is generally credited as sparking off a musical craze for the sound of the novel instrument in the mid-1960s—a trend which would later branch out into the raga rock and Indian rock genres. The song is now acknowledged as one of the cornerstones of what is now usually called "world music" and it was a major landmark in the trend towards incorporating non-Western musical influences into Western popular music.
Harrison's interest was fuelled by fellow Indian music fan Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, whom Harrison met and befriended in August 1965. Harrison would eventually be transfixed by all things Indian, taking sitar lessons from renowned Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar.
French-like guitar lines on "Michelle" and Greek-influenced ones on "Girl", fuzz bass on "Think for Yourself," and a piano made to sound like a baroque harpsichord on the instrumental bridge of "In My Life" added to the exotic brushstrokes on the album. Ringo Starr had frequently augmented Beatles tracks with standard percussion instruments such as maracas or tambourine, but on the track "I'm Looking Through You" unusually used taps on a matchbook, perhaps influenced by a similar trick as done by Gene Krupa in the 1941 film Ball of Fire.

The Vinyl
This is the original thicker , heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest original pressings! (Later press are much more flimsier and less robust)
The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warps. The vinyl has retained its original sheen from new and I find it hard to even see a blemish on the playing surface! Only close inspection could there possibly be light wyspy surface marks/scuffs sleeve removal type only, but importantly there are no audio sounding marks or needle marks that would cause any loud annoying constant loud clicks or pops that I heard at all!
The audio quality
I have played this track for track at very loud volume prior to listing at very loud volume. From the moment that the needle hits the playing surface , it is obvious that this vinyl not only visually but audibly has barely ever been played in my opinion! The audio is stunning crystal clear and vibrant, very bright and clear throughout without any signs of distortion at all and plays with a lovely deep bass feel only found like this on early pressings! In fact any interference to mention is the odd isolated static type ticks in the odd place and some noticed mostly obliterated in the audio during the track 'Michael' that's all! I would grade the audio at least excellent plus to near mint for the most part in my opinion! One of the Best that you could possibly find! Certainly one of the most vibrant copies that I have heard of this rare, short run variation, so hard to find like this!
Please note I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd isolated static /ticks/light pops that may be heard in perhaps quieter places during the play of this vinyl, but nothing consistent though out the audio. Please remember that this is an original 46 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 46 year old system.
A constant clean before each play is highly recommended because this vinyl has been stored in a box and laying dormant for a long time. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static. A constant clean before each play will reduce any static and enhance the audio quality.
The Labels
These are the original yellow and black Parlophone labels feature ''The Gramophone Co....'' Rim text around the labels (only early 1969 issued UK press.) The labels are rich in colour and are very clean all text is readable. It is obvious to me that this vinyl has only had very minimal play only . The spindle hole is free of any wear and of course is perfectly round! Spidering can be seen angled to the light but is minimal on both sides in my opinion. There is little if no spindle wear the hole is perfectly round!
The Record Sleeve
This is the original EMI advertising serpier sleeve (Only 1969 pressings) no splits or tares light creasing with age only! Features 'Made In Great Britain" and mentions "The Gramophone Co...." Correct for these pressings.
The Cover
This Is The Original 1st issue Patents Pending Garrod & Lofthouse flip back cover, in absolutely tip top stunning super glossy laminated front, lovely condition through out! Lovely and glossy laminate and white at the rear with no signs of yellowing, No splits or tares. The original pinched ended spine is lovely and generally square all text is readable! What makes this so unbelievable , No nasty creases to report on the front so rare to find like this! Very minor small line creases at the edges and a minor crease at the rear bottom left corner, minor at the flipbacks and near the spine to mention are only noticed if looked for angled to the light and minor laminate lift top left hand corner to mention. No nasty ringware! The cover has always been separated from the vinyl and sleeve since purchased from new! The rear is also lovely, clean and bright! no nasty names written and amazingly no nasty ring ware! Unbelievably rare like this! Graded at least excellent plus in my opinion! Never need to upgrade from this cover!
