Description
A copy of The Beatles album RUBBER SOUL.
This is a UK 1st press (LOUD CUT) with -1 -1 matrixes dating from 1965.
It is a mono copy with catalogue number PMC1267
Although by no means trashed, there are light surface marks on both sides but these are pretty much inaudible even in quieter parts. I have played it through start to finish and it sounds great. There were no jumps or sticks and very little background noise the odd pop and click but thats all. The labels are clean with no writing, but there is some spindle wear (see photos).
During the time that this album was being pressed Parlophone were producing two types of label designs. This pressing has one of each. As you can see from the photos the typeface differs on either side.
Side 1 XEX 579-1, number at 9 o'clock is 2, letters at 3 o'clock are GDD
Side 2 XEX 580-1, number at 9 o'clock is 2, letters at 3 o'clock are LP.
The vinyl visually grades as VG but plays much nicer.
The flipback cover is very nice indeed. It is clean with no tears or writing. There are a couple of very minor creases on the front and slight yellowing to the back. The top and bottom edges are strong and have no splits or scuffs. The spine is fully legible. This cover has survived a lot better than most that I have seen and easily grades as VG+.
Comes with trace lined emitex inner, in excellent condition with no rips or writing but some yellowing.
