BEATLES RUBBER SOUL -1 LOUD CUT MONO RARE ROMAN TYPEFACE PMC 1267 B/Y WITHDRAWN.
This is the rare dash 1 loud cut of the Beatles 6th album Rubber Soul.
I have just replayed the record thru headphones and can report a little static crackle in between tracks which a professional clean could help. The track Michelle has a little distortion which all dash 1's have. I'm told this was the reason for its withdrawal. There are no skips or sticks on this record.
The vinyl surfaces are really nice with just a little bag rash and small mark across side 1, track 7, I couldn't hear it though and it is quite minor in my opinion. This viewed under a bright light. Both sides of the disc have a super shine to them.
The labels have the rarer Roman type face, the is no writing on them.
The cover is quite nice with about 2cm rubbing from storage on the top and bottom edge. There is a small 1cm split at the bottom right opening. All flaps are fully intact and clean, free from glue.
There is a small amount of wear/rubbing to the rear of the opening edge. The front panel is very nice with a great shine to it. You can make out the spine has sniped ends and is fully readable.
The emitex rice paper inner has some creases but no splits. This was the last Beatles album to have this kind of inner!
The stampers are PP3 and LH1.
Matrix XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1.
Overall a very nice and correct package.
