RARE LP
This was the very first official release, being released on the 22nd of March 1963 (MONO version) and later on the 26th of April 1963 (STEREO version). The Lp reached number one in; Disc Weekly, Melody Maker, New Musical Express and The Record Retailer in the UK. Only to be knocked off by their next album With The Beatles.
Amazingly the songs, which were taken from their first two singles and included a further ten songs, were all recorded in one marathon session at Abbey Road Studios. John wasn't feeling too well and got throught the 3 sessions in the one day by having milk, tea and Zubes lozenges....

Vinyl: EX-. Nice & heavy vinyl without jumps and skips...Still has it's original and glorious sheen. Just some light marks-I have played her to make sure that there aren't any skips/jumps and nope, just The Beatles in all their original glory.
Some faint background pops n crackles, but a good clean and the majority of this will be cleared up.
FLAT, HEAVY AND SHINY-ORIGINAL!
Labels: EX. Superb rare NZ labels, with no writing or rips and just minimal hole wear-please see the detailed images.
Outer rim text starts with "His Masters Voice (N.Z.)"

"Parlophone" in silver text, as the good old Gold Ones.
Inner: G. Original "HMV" inner with splits to each side and feathering to the opening....BUT she has done her job keeping the record in fab condition!
Great vibrant colours still shine out.
Really quite a rare thing to get hold of...Far from trashed.
Cover: VG+. Good corners with the solid MONO in the top right corner-as well as the catalogue number of PMCM 1202. There is a split of 12cm to the spine and a small split of 2cm to the back card.
The flipbacks are in superb condition, with "Lithoed In New Zealand" in the bottom left corner to the back.
Interestingly doesn't have the "Angus McBean" credit in the bottom right corner...
Lovely and bright with deep rich colours-would look great framed.

All in all this is a highly unusual and hard to get hold of Beatles collectable, with superb reproduction too.
