Description
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Beatles called 'Please Please Me' and is a MONO UK pressing!!!! HOWEVER THIS IS THE VERY VERY RARE 'BLACK & GOLD' 1ST PRESSING WITH THE 'DICK JAMES' CREDITS!!!! HOWEVER WHAT MAKES THIS COPY EVEN RARER IS THAT IT IS A VERY VERY RARE 'RIDGED' COPY!!!! LOOK AT THE LABELS!!!! ON BOTH LABELS THERE IS A DEEP CIRCULAR RIDGE!!!! THIS IS SUCH A RARE PRESSING - LESS THAN 1% OF BLACK & GOLDS WERE PRESSED LIKE THIS - AND IT IS EVEN RARER TO FIND THE RIDGE ON BOTH SIDES!!!! THIS IS EASILY AS RARE AS A BLACK & GOLD STEREO COPY!!!! THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A 'REAL' PIECE OF HISTORY WITH A VERY VERY EARLY STAMPERS TOO!!!! DONT MISS THIS!!!! This is the ORIGINAL MONO UK pressing from 1963 and is in GREAT condition for its age!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 1st Pressing with a Black & Gold Label, and the Dick James publishing credit for 'Please Please Me', 'I Saw Her Standing There', 'Misery', 'Do You Want To Know A Secret', & 'Theres A Place'. It also has 'The Parlophone Company' edge text, and a Polythene lined Emitex inner. The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N. The stamper codes are 1/H & 1/H. THESE ARE VERY VERY EARLY STAMPERS!!!! THIS IS A VERY VERY EARLY PRESSING!!!! The Cat. No is PMC 1202 on the ORIGINAL Black & Gold Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MONO pressing!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Beatles at their best!!!! Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!! The MEGA RARE 'Ridged' record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!! LOOK AT THE MEGA RARE LABELS (see pictures) - AS MANY COLLECTORS KNOW - THESE BLACK & GOLD LABELS OFTEN TURN UP WITH VERY DULLED WRITING, AND HEAVY WEAR. THESE LABELS ARE VERY SHARP WITH ONLY SOME VERY MINIMAL CENTRE WEAR!!!! THESE ARE DEFINTELY ONE OF THE BETTER SETS OF BLACK AND GOLD LABELS I HAVE SEEN!!!! The vinyl is in great condition for its age. Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and the record stills retains a beautiful sheen, and althugh not perfect it has survived remarkably well and is certainly one of the better Black & Gold copies I have seen!!!! The record does have a few lines, and a few light surface marks - but plays remarkably well!!!! The record still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with only a VERY few isolated pops (barely ANY), NO sticking, and NO jumps!!!! There is some VERY minor background noise in a VERY few places - though this is NOT crackle and it certainly CANNOT be heard over the music!!!! IN FACT FOR THE MOST PART - THE RECORD IS SILENT - EVEN ON THE GAPS AND THE RUN ON GROOVES!!!! REMEMBER - ALMOST ALL OF THESE BLACK AND GOLD RECORDS ONLY TURN UP IN 'JUST' PLAYABLE CONDITION - AND THIS COPY IS FAR FAR BETTER THAN THAT!!!! However I WILL NOT fall into the trap of overgrading to compensate for age and the record must PROPERLY grade visually Very Good(Minus) with the playing grade Very Good!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL POLYTHENE lined Emitex inner sleeve!!!! The E.J.Day FLIPBACK Cover is in STUNNING condition for its age!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, slight corner wear (NO splits), a few creases and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is RAZOR straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing!!!! There is also NO splits, NO rips, and NO tears!!!! In fact the only fault with this cover is some slight roughening to the edges of the flipbacks. The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!! HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this RARE Beatles LP!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS, BLACK & GOLD MEGA RARE 'RIDGED' LABELED MONO COPY OF "PLEASE PLEASE ME" BY THE BEATLES, IN GREAT CONDITION!!!!
