Description

BEATLES …. “Please Please Me / Ask Me Why” (PARLOPHONE 45-R 4983) Released UK 1963. The famous and much sought after original red label copy by the Beatles. For collectors, the demand for this single far outstrips the supply. That's because Parlophone records were changing over to black labels on all their artists releases. DETAILS : Both labels carry 'Dick James Music Co. Ltd' and the A side has the 'Made In Gr. Britain' text.... Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17217-1N & 7XCE 17218-1N in the run out grooves... A 'PMT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre hole of the A side (so this is an early copy) CONDITION: SLEEVE is clean and tidy. VINYL: This is a lovely copy retaining all it's sheen. The audio is faultless. It plays loud and clear on a sensitive and top of the range record player. So I can grade this as EX. A very acceptable item to own.
