BEATLES “Please Please Me / Ask Me Why” (FLASH BACK).

Surely the rarest Beatles 45 rpm published in Italy.

Distributed only in Italy on May 1970 for the “FLASH BACK” series (the Beatles is the number 6 of a series of 20 singles reprints, a selection of various singers and bands called precisely “Flash Back”, edited by EMI Italiana Spa).

The artwork of this great and unique Italian cover shows a drawing of an eye on yellow background, in which pupil we can find a black and white Beatles picture in their last photo session together (22 August 1969 in Tittenhurst Park, photo by Ethan Russell).

Few hundred copies were printed of this 7” single (which passed virtually unnoticed) becoming nowadays the truly rarity and the real dream of any Beatles collector.

Usually nearly impossible to find in good condition, so I think that find a copy in such great condition like the one I’m selling is virtually nearly impossible.

Please note: date etched in the trail-off is the one of the “Please please me” first press: 12.11.63

Format: 7” single – Distributed by “EMI Italiana Spa” on the black “EMI / Parlophone” label, catalogue # 3C006-04451.

COUNTRY: ITALY, 1970.

COVER: EX++, the 100% original fragile sleeve is fully intact without writings, splits or major defects. One small tear on the back near of the opening side and the number 1 of the artists column (no missing parts, the small tear is barely noticeable and it doesn’t affect the pristine overall conditions of the cover). Cover colours are still bright and vivid with minimal storage surface signs (please take a look to the attached pictures: the pictures you’ll see are really taken from the exact copy the winner will receive ).

RECORD: EX, vinyl in excellent or better conditions with slight surface signs/faint paper surface hairlines, absolutely nothing serious (visually graded, Not tested).
