This is the Original Extremely RARE Beatles 1963 BLACK / GOLD PARLOPHONE MONO FIRST PRESS UK ALBUM titled “Please Please Me”. Here is your chance to own one of the rarest & earliest copies in Stunning Condition that you are ever likely to see. This GENIUNE First Press from 1963 has the ‘Parlophone Co Ltd’ label text but without ‘Sold In The UK’ on a BLACK / GOLD label with ‘Dick James Mus Co’ credits. The Matrix numbers are XEX 421 – 1N & XEX 422 – 1N. Copies in this Condition are rarely seen as most copies are found overplayed, damaged or worn out. The tracks are as follows Side1 1) I Saw Her Standing There 2) Misery 3) Anna (Go To Him) 4) Chains 5) Boys 6) Ask Me Why 7) Please Please Me Side2 1) Love Me Do 2) P.S. This album is seldom found in its Original sleeve, but the record on offer does have its GENIUNE 100% Original sleeve this being that the ‘Angus McBean’ logo to the bottom right hand corner measures 5mm from the opening edge, where as all later issues measure 17mm from the opening edge.
The matt ridged record labels are in stunning condition (see pictures) with NO wear, writing & barely any spindle marks at all. This superb Beatles album is pressed on thick heavy duty 60’s vinyl and still retains it’s just pressed look with a very shinny lustre. There are NO visual defects & has been play graded EXCELLENT + SUPERB crisp & clean with very little to no background noise between tracks also NO groove wear or distortion. The visual grading is also EXCELLENT + Absolutely Stunning!!! The flip back sleeve has the laminated front cover in EXCELLENT Condition, but there is a small amount of damage to the bottom of the rear right hand corner flip back (see pictures) there is also a name which has tried to be removed to the top left hand corner of the rear (see pictures).
The Greatest attention to packaging with all albums housed in aluminium framed box complete with bubble wrap & thick cardboard. The vinyl is also removed from the sleeve to ensure safe delivery.
