You are bidding on a very rare, original 45 by The Beatles called “Please Please Me".
THIS IS ONE OF THE HOLY GRAILS OF BEATLE RECORDS!!!
Vee Jay Records. VJ 498. 1963.
SECOND 498 VERSION WITH CORRECTED "BEATLES" SPELLING.
COMES WITH RARE ORIGINAL VEE-JAY RECORDS SLEEVE!
Record is pressed on Styrene.
SIDE A: "Please Please Me" (Matrix Numbers: An etched "△ 46527" and what looks like an "RA" above that, followed by a faint AudioMatrix stamp, then the circled Monarch Records (MR) stamp followed by "63-2967".)
SIDE B: "Ask Me Why" (Matrix Numbers: An etched "△ 46527-X" followed by an "RA", followed by a faint AudioMatrix stamp, then the circled Monarch Records (MR) stamp followed by "63-2968".)
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Vee-Jay Sleeve is in VG++ condition.
Record is in a VERY STRONG VG to VG+ condition. Has some general wear and some minor surface marks that don't affect play. Both labels have writing on them. Side B label has a faint line scratch that goes into the matrix, but NOT the play area.
Rare in any condition and still sounds amazing on my player!
