A very early pressing on the black & gold label with Dick James publishing credits (no Northern Songs). Some wear & tear, but original, complete and plays well.

Side One – XEX 421 – 1N

Letters Z M T around spindle hole on Side One.

Believed original Emitex inner sleeve in good condition.

This copy is in good used condition. Cover has general shelf wear. Front in good condition apart from corners.  Back has wear & tears to overlaps, small piece of Sellotape and small area of tippex (about 1 inch each). Believe original price (30/11d?) in faint pencil on back top left corner next to title. Labels in very good condition, no inscriptions or stickers, light spindle wear. Disc plays well with NO loud cracks or jumps, just very slight background crackle audible between tracks. A few visible marks on the vinyl are audible only intermittently as slight clicks, insignificant in signal-to-noise terms. Overall, I would rate this at Good (cover) to Very Good (vinyl) on the ratings scale below. But please make your own judgement based on the photos and ask about any uncertainties you may have. This is a good example - there may be better around, but this is certainly more than just a collection-filler.

VINYL QUALITY RATINGS from RECORD COLLECTOR

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
