Description
THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME - DEMO
ORIGINAL 1963 UK Parlophone Red A label DEMO 45-R 4983
This was the very first Beatles No-1 single and is arguably the most sought after UK Beatles Demo in the world today with only 200 being pressed!!!
Both sides of the record labels are printed with the Parlophone Co Label Rim, Demonstration Record Not For Sale and Dick James Music.
Matrix is as follows:
- A-Side - 7XCE 17217-IN with M PT 2 vertically at 9:30 and 0 at 3.00.
- B-Side - 7XCE 17218-1N with M PT 2 vertically at 9:00 and GG at 3.00.
The record plays through well with no jumps or scratches, though some crackle can be heard through the quieter parts. Visually, there are surface cracks, though none that effect the play. The labels were clearly named in biro at some time and each side shows evidence of tipex repair - see photos.
