BEATLES – NORWAY – Yellow submarine 1966 SUPER RARE
Why are the Norwegian Beatles 45 releases so rare and unique ?
Well, there are only 34 of them and they all came with distinct and unique picture colour covers specially designed for Norway. It all started in february 1963 (Please Please me/Ask me why) and faded out with the “The Long and winding road” 45, some seven years later. The 34 singles came with distinct variations on both sleeves and labels and are all pressed in very limited quantities ( in some instances as few as 500 copies and maybe up to only 1000 copies in first batch – before a new colour were used on both cover and label for the next batch - if it sold well, that is ). Even more interesting maybe, is that some of them were issued in both stereo and mono mixes. Most of them were dubbed from a UK master recording – and therefore NORWEGIAN BEATLES records very often, for the careful listener, sounds somewhat DIFFERENT from other international singles- and LP versions. Intriguing or WHAT !

Clean from writing on cover and label. A very RARE Beatles record on the black Parlophone label. Inscription on spin-off reads: ss.ral.mix.dub which means it is a dubbed sound recording. Center intact. See pictures.
