This copy features the original Blue Lyric Sheet stapled into the center of the booklet. This is the primary visual identifier for the very first batch of the 1967 production run (later changed to yellow in the 1970s). Released in December 1967, this original UK Double EP is the format the Beatles specifically intended for this release. While the US received a compiled LP, the band preferred this format to ensure the highest possible audio fidelity. This Mono version is particularly prized because the Beatles were personally involved in the Mono mixing sessions; the Stereo mixes were often secondary thoughts handled by engineers. - Inner Sleeves: Original white "wavy-top" paper sleeves included. Noted light foxing (age-related spotting) along the edges, common for 1960s paper stock.
