TODAY (2/18) I HAVE PURCHASED ONE OF THE BEST VINYL COLLECTIONS I'VE EVER ACQUIRED - IT BELONGED TO A MAN WHO WORKED IN PROMOTION FOR ATLANTIC RECORDS IN LOS ANGELES FOR 20 YEARS FROM THE LATE 1960S THROUGH THE 1980s - THE COLLECTION CONTAINS ALL SORTS OF PROMOS, PROMO ONLY ITEMS, SEALED LPs, PICTURE DISCS, TEST PRESSINGS, AND AUDIOPHILE PRESSINGS - I'LL BE LISTING TWO ITEMS A DAY FROM THIS COLLECTION FOR A LONG TIME - KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS FOR SOME OF THE BEST ROCK ITEMS I'VE EVER OFFERED!
This is a 1965 U.S. CAPITOL RECORDS MONO PROMO COPY OF THE 1965 LP titled 'Help!', with seven songs from The Beatles plus soundtrack music from the Beatles movie 'Help!'. It is Capitol Records U.S. catalog number MAS 2386, with the promo punch out at the top right corner of the gatefold cover, black labels with rainbow borders, with its original stock olive green Capitol Records 'Enjoy The Greatest Stereo You've Ever Heard' inner sleeve.
Original mono label variation without credits for B4 "The Bitter End" or B6 "The Chase", and "You Can't Do That" is NOT listed as part of B4.
Pressed at Capitol's Scranton factory, as identified in the matrix run-out with a IAM triangle stamp.
Original pressings came with olive green Capitol inner sleeve.
Promotional copies have "PROMO" punched out in the upper right corner.

Condition of play surface of record is a real nice VG++/EX with a few light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. There is a very light rubber stamp on the rainbow border of one label, placed there by the previous owner. Condition of cover is VG+ with a rubber stamp showing the address of a previous owner near the lower right side of the right inside gatefold, the 1/2' beginning of a split in the top edge at the upper right corner of the back gatefold, some ring and contact wear, and some light wear along the edges and on the corners. Cover has no water damage, tears, writing, or stickers. This mono promo LP would be a nice addition to any Beatles or rock-n-roll record collection! Media mail postage within the U.S. is $4.00.
