On offer here is probably one of the rareist copys ever to be offered for sale of the legendary 45 "Love Me Do" by The Beatles. When did you last see advertised a 'FACTORY SAMPLE COPY' of this item? Did you know that this is the closest thing to a DEMO copy that you're ever likely to see? [I,ve read somewhere that because of a shortage of red A label demo's Emi had to send copies out like these to be reviewed, by radio stations, media, television etc,]. This is a genuine 1962 Factory sample sticker with consistent Yellowing & ageing as you'd expect, & comes with the red embossed print. This version has slightly rounded sides edges, and not the pointed [joined arrowed] sides as on some 1960's factory sample stickers as they weren't available in 1962 and indeed weren't issued for use until 1963/4 Almost seems unimportant to remind you that the B side is "P.S. I Love You". THIS IS ONE OF THE TRUE HOLY GRAIL ITEMS FOR BEATLES COLLECTORS AND ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A FACTORY SAMPLE IN THIS GOOD CONDITION!!!! SO, DON'T MISS OUT!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 1962 UK FACTORY SAMPLE pressing on the Red Parlophone label R-4949, With parlophone co ltd text running clockwise around the labels edges in upper/lower case text. Also with the Ardmore & beechwood ltd publishing credits & with no 'Made in Gt Britain' printed . Any fan of the Merseybeat sound, 60s music, or rare record collecting will want to have this in their collection!! Stampers:Stamped matrix no,s are side 1. 7XCE 17144-1N and side 2. 7XCE 17145- IN. I do appreciate that there are collectors who will need information about the stampers within the run-off area, so i'll include them so as you can tell what they mean!!! On the A side at 9 o'clock is "ZT", "MP" and a "1". At 3 o'clock is "GT". The B side is the same, except that the 3 o'clock stamp is "GA" [ I believe these are very early stampers for this release in 1962, which would tie in with this 7 " record being an early pressed copy marked up and then used as a 'Factory sample copy'.]] Labels: In lovely condition with the B side having a tiny F.S. written in biro near the centre hole on side 2. [Again this may have been done in the factory when it was being marked up to be used as a sample.] & side A's record label having the afore mentioned "Factory Sample" sticker. No faults --tears, rips, or any other writng etc etc. Also Comes complete with its original 1962 multi coloured wavy striped parlophone type: 1 company sleeve in EX condition. Disc surface: Most of these Early 60s singles have been played with a heavy stylus and so are usually found totally worn out, 0r heavily gorged with deep scratches, that cause skips & jumps or Heavy clicking on every revolution of playback or almost unplayable. This record, however is not an still has plenty of life left in it as the grooves have not worn flat.and has been in my possesion for 29 years and grades visually as VG++ condition overall for both sides with no major faults only a few small & light hairline scratches & scuffs, that do not affect play or listening enjoyment in any adverse way , also no skipping or jumping at all.Disc plays perfectly both sides with no skips or jumps, Lies totally flat on the turntable with no distortion [With no dishing or warping either.]This rare record is NOT overgraded at all I use Record Collecter grading standards.
