Description

BEATLES LOVE ME DO DUO: TWO RARE CAPITOL OF CANADA 72076 45s.

72076 was the first of nine releases in the now-rare 72000 Capitol of Canada series.

In this listing, you get TWO of ‘em!

LOVE ME DO/P.S. I LOVE YOU--CAPITOL 72076

An excellent copy of this first Beatles single! The A-side is the version with Ringo on drums (not released in the U.S.). The hand-etched matrix number is 7XCE-17144-3 on the A-Side, and 7XCE-17145-2 on the flip side. Note that the word “Canada” in the perimeter print is NOT in brackets, indicating that this was, indeed, one of the 1963 releases (the brackets were added in 1967).

LOVE ME DO/P.S. I LOVE YOU--CAPITOL 72076

A fine-sounding copy of this first Beatles single. The hand-etched matrix number in the deadwax is 7XCE-17144-2 on the A-Side, and 7XCE-17145-2 on the flip side, indicating that this was one of the very earliest releases, most likely in late 1963.

DISCLAIMER: Beatles records are fragile and more than a half-century old. Each has been play-tested once on a newer Sony turntable used only for that purpose. They are being described here in complete, honest and accurate detail, and are sold “as is.” I don’t use letter ratings—one person’s VG+ is another person’s G-. I cannot, therefore, be responsible for different results due to the buyer’s own equipment. Your satisfaction, along with my 100% Feedback, are very important.
