THE BEATLES

"LOVE ME DO"

DEMO

THIS IS RENOWNED AS BEING THE RAREST AND MOST COLLECTABLE BEATLES SINGLE EVER, IT HAS EVEN BEEN REFERRED TO AS THE "HOLY GRAIL," OF ALL BEATLES RECORDS

Well here it is, yet another one of these most rarest of records, Love Me Do Demo Discs by the Fab Four. I have seen four or five of these in the last year popping up on e.bay and one that has just gone for £5000 yesterday. The record will always remain highly desirable and collectable. You only have to look at what some of these other singles have fetched.

I am not going to say much more on the single as I am pretty sure all you collectors know its history and that without the playing success of this record, well there may have been NO BEATLES.....

To any potential buyers, bidders or lookers, just some information on me the seller:

I have been an e.bay seller since 2001 and in that time as you will be able to see I believe I have had one Negative Feedback, due unfortunately to being on holiday when my auction ended. Most of the items I have sold and purchases I have made have been pretty small fry compared to this item, but be rest assured I am happy to communicate with you as much as you feel there is a need to, and even after the sale keep you updated on the items every movement.

Please also be assured that I am not a dealer and that this item is one of those revolutionary finds that you make when scaling down and moving house. I do not know where this item came from and nearly took it down to the charity shop with the rest of my records. So a very lucky find indeed.

Anyway without further ado I give you "LOVE ME DO," the first ever DEMO DISC by the Beatles:

The A-Side has an unwritten and unmarked label with the mis-spelling McArtney. The large red ‘A’ indicating a ‘demonstration record’ as does the overprint.

The playing surface has a lovely shine with hairline scratches and one small scratch in the 9 o'clock position, which considering its age,

(50 years next month) it is in V.Good+ condition.

The audio quality is perfect, with no jumps, runs or hic cups

The Matrix number is 7XCE 17144 -1N and the stampers are ZT and JR.

The B-side has a clean and unwritten label.  Under light there is a small mark visible to the right at the 4o'clock position of the label but, again for the age of this record you would expect more.

The playing surface has a lovely shine and again it has hairline scratches but nothing severe.  The audio quality is perfect, with no jumps, runs or hic cups.

Over all, the record lays flat to the turntable, no warps and only a little authentic crackling as the record commences.

The paper sleeve is of Parlophone's generic print style from this era and is in an Ok condition, slight fading and small tear running from centre.

This is a fantastic record and I know that any real Beatles fan will be proud to add this to their collection. After all with only 250 ever produced in the world, how many will have stood the test of time.............Half maybe?

So for any further information on this rare piece please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards and Happy Bidding

P.S.  I am very sorry to all you people who were watching and bidding on this item.  Ebay made us aware of an error in our listing and we have had to withdraw and rectify the problem.  Please do not let this deter you from bidding, it is still a great item!
