Description

THE BEATLES

"If I Fell" c/w "Tell Me Why"

Hear this record being played: http://youtu.be/a4yreWiidoo

Original 1964 UK release of a export issue.

I am a former record collector in the process of liquidating the bulk of the collection.

Record details:

Label: PARLOPHONE (with "Sold in U.K..." text on round centre)

Catalogue number: DP 562, tracks as above

Side 1 matrix number: 7XCE 17756-1 N

Side 2 matrix number: 7XCE 17757-1 N

Record condition:

Label: clean and clear on both sides with the round centre on the A-side showing a barely-visible area where a label was once attached.  This is barely noticeable and I had to look really closely to see it!

Vinyl: visually graded as EX- as per Rare Record Price Guide "The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality".  Vinyl retains an excellent overall shine with visible surface marks/paper scuffs but no obvious individual scratches or surface marks.  There surface scuffs hold it back from a solid EX rating.  Playback is not affected.

Sleeve: original period green 'banded' Parlophone company sleeve in EX- condition with age-related discolouration - see photos.

Sound quality: excellent as-new sound quality with negligible surface noise audible at high volume on the A-side, please see video.  Note that the record being played is the actual one for sale in this listing and was recorded by myself.  This record was tested on a Sansui SR-2050C turntable.

Postage and Packing:

Shipping costs for a well-wrapped package are provided and are for registered mail (international signed-for).  I will combine postage for multiple items, please contact me for rates.

On 15-Apr-14 at 19:07:01 BST, seller added the following information:

The winning bidder shall have a choice as regards the Parlophone company sleeve to be sent with the record: either the 'banded' type shown with the record, or the one used earlier in 1964 which had the 'Parlophone' text at the top and the '£' logo at the bottom.  Photos of the earlier sleeve have been attached.  This since my copy of the Rare Record Price Guide does not specify which company sleeve was issued with this export single.

On 15-Apr-14 at 20:35:53 BST, seller added the following information:

Combined postage is as follows:

2 records = same postage cost as one record (no extra charge) 3 or more = £1 per additional record

As of now the number of watchers is: 41.  Thanks for the interest and good luck! :-)
