Description

FOR SALE IS A COPY OF THE BEATLES' "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES (SR 1062)" STEREO LP RELEASED ON VEE JAY RECORDS IN 1964. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL VERSION 2 STEREO PRESSING OF THIS RECORD.  BOTH THE COVER AND RECORD PASS ALL TESTS WHICH SEPARATE AUTHENTIC PRESSINGS FROM COUNTERFEITS (GEORGE'S SHADOW ON THE FRONT COVER, STRONG PRINTING ON THE WORD "HONEY" ON THE BACK COVER, AND BOTH "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" AND "THE BEATLES" ABOVE THE SPINDLE HOLE ON THE RECORD ITSELF (SEE PICTURES FOR ALL.) THE COVER AND RECORD BOTH GRADE BETWEEN VG++ AND NM-.

THE COVER IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH ONLY A BARELY NOTICEABLE AMOUNT OF RINGWEAR AND A LIGHT AMOUNT OF EDGEWEAR PRESENT ON THE CORNERS. THERE IS ALSO A LIGHT AMOUNT OF "CHIPPING" PRESENT ON THE TOP SEAM AND A SMALL CHIP IN THE CENTER OF THE SPINE OF THE COVER . THERE ARE ALSO TWO VERY SMALL STAINS (MEASURING FRACTIONS OF AN INCH) ON THE LOWER LEFT HAND OF THE FRONT COVER (SEE PICTURES.) PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO SPLITS IN THE SEAMS OR SPINE OF THIS COVER. ALSO, IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE BACK COVER, THERE IS A LABEL WHICH HAS THE NAME OF THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THIS LABEL IS COVERED IN WHAT APPEARS TO BE LIQUID TAPE (SEE PICTURES.) I HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE THIS AS I DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE THIS COVER. WERE IT NOT FOR THESE VERY MINOR IMPERFECTIONS, THIS COVER WOULD GRADE A SOLID NM-!

THE RECORD IS ALSO IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH ONLY A VERY LIGHT AMOUNT OF SURFACE "WISPS" MOST LIKELY CAUSED FROM BEING SLID IN AND OUT OF THE ORIGINAL VEE JAY INSERT SLEEVE. I WOULD GRADE SIDE 1 AS "VG++" AND SIDE 2 AS "NM-" DUE TO ONE VISIBLE MARK (WHICH CANNOT BE FELT TO THE TOUCH) PRESENT ON THE FIRST SIDE OF THE RECORD.  WERE IT NOT FOR THIS SLIGHT IMPERFECTION, THE RECORD WOULD ALSO GRADE A SOLID NM-!  THE RECORD HAS BEEN FULLY PLAY TESTED AND PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY WITH ONLY A VERY LIGHT AMOUNT OF SURFACE NOISE (HEARD ONLY IN THE BANDS OF SILENCE BETWEEN THE TRACKS.)

THE LABELS ARE BOTH IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. THERE IS A STICKER WITH THE NUMBER "1" ON SIDE 1 OF THE RECORD (SEE PICTURES.)

THE ORIGINAL VEE JAY INSERT SLEEVE IS INCLUDED. HOWEVER, IT IS ALMOST COMPLETELY SPLIT.

PLEASE NOTE: THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAD VERY NEATLY AND CAREFULLY ETCHED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION INTO THE DEAD WAX OF SIDE 1 OF THIS RECORD: HER NAME, THE DATE OF PURCHASING THE RECORD (IN THIS CASE, "FRIDAY, MARCH 27, 64"), AND "AGE 18." WHILE THIS IS AN UNCOMMON PRACTICE, IT DOES NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THE RECORD IN THE SLIGHTEST!

NOT ONLY IS THIS ONE OF THE HARDEST TO FIND BEATLES RECORDS, BUT TO FIND IT IN THIS CONDITION IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE! DON'T MISS OUT ON YOUR CHANCE TO ADD THIS EXTREMELY RARE PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC RECORD TO YOUR COLLECTION TODAY!  I WILL CONSIDER ALL SERIOUS OFFERS! BELOW I HAVE POSTED THE GRADING SYSTEM I USE FOR ALL MY RECORDS:

SEALED: Sealed at factory and never opened. Vinyl is assumed to be mint, but cannot be sure until opening.

NM: When I grade something near mint, you know the only thing that isn't perfect about it is that someone actually opened it. There could be a light scuff mark or two from taking it out of the sleeve. The jacket will look like new.

VG++: These LPs appear not to have been played more than once or twice. You can expect to see scuffs or other insignificant surface marks very minor that will have no effect whatsoever on the sound of the recording. Jacket will show very slight, just beginning ring wear. Maybe a little wear in the corners.

VG+: Records in this condition have obviously been played a few times, though they have been well taken care of. You can expect to see a few light marks, but they should have a minimal effect, if any at all, on the sound of the recording. Jacket will very likely show noticeble ring and edge wear and maybe one or two other minor flaws. Anything more will be noted.

VG: These albums have been played quite a few times and although not abused you will see and hear signs of use. But, the music will dominate your listening experience and you shouldn't be overwhelmed by the various vinyl nuances, such as tics, pops, crackles and hisses. You should still be able to sit back and fully enjoy listening to an album in this condition.
Jacket will have a number of flaws, such as heavy ring and seam wear, writing, small seam splits, stickers, etc.

G: I try not to go here, but if it's a rare or exceptionally great piece of music that must be heard, then I'll offer it. But the noise will be very noticeable, and you'll want to find a better copy. Still, the record will be fully playable, and you should enjoy it because it's such wonderful music. Jackets in this condition will have large seam splits, large writing, paper tears, or water damage. But it will still be fully capable of protecting the album inside.

F: I'll never go here on both the vinyl and jacket. This would have to be a case where the vinyl was playable with a bad jacket OR a real special jacket with the record not of much use. You won't see this very often!
