THE BEATLES - LOVE ME DO / P.S. I LOVE YOU
THIS 78 rpm IS IN VG+ CONDITION ON PARLOPHONE LABEL R.4949 ISSUED 1964 IN INDIA.
THE 'A' SIDE LABEL IS A LITTLE FADED. THE B SIDE IS A NICE BRIGHT RED, BUT THAT SIDE HAS TWO TINY EDGE CHIPS ABOUT 1mm EACH.
IT IS ONE OF SEVERAL 78s I AM LISTING, SOME ISSUED IN INDIA IN THE 1960s, LONG AFTER 78s WERE DISCONTINUED IN THE US AND EUROPE, OVERTAKEN BY 45s.
INCLUDED ARE INDIAN 78s by THE BEATLES, DAVE CLARK FIVE, RICKY NELSON, BOBBY DARIN, BILL BLACK, BOBBY CHARLES and CLIFF RICHARD.
THESE INDIAN 78 RPM RECORDS ARE VERY RARE, ESPECIALLY IN SUCH GOOD CONDITION. MOST LABELS CARRY THE WORDS 'MADE IN INDIA' OR SIMILAR, AND THE DATE OF ISSUE.
AND THEY'RE THE REAL GENUINE ORIGINAL - MADE OF SHELLAC, NOT VINYL !

PACKING: I pack really well. I 'sandwich' the record/s between two thick pieces of cardboard, surround it with packing - scrunched up newspaper and/or bubble-wrap/polystyrene chips - and put it/them in a stout cardboard box. I have been sending records all over the world to regular collectors and dealers for many years. I have never had a breakage.
POSTAGE: I am happy to combine records to cut down the cost of postage. (I can safely mail up to six or even seven 78s for the 'cheaper' small packet postage rate to Europe and the US. Anything above the 2 kilos rate costs about twice as much)
UK STANDARD POSTAGE IS £4 FOR THE FIRST 78, THEN £1 FOR EACH EXTRA
CONTINENTAL EUROPE £ 6 FOR FIRST + £1 EACH EXTRA U.S. £ 12 + £2 EXTRAS
CONDITION / GRADING : M = Mint, New. + and - marks give clearer gradings.
Ex = Excellent - played but few marks & sound great.
VG = Very good, played many times, with scuff/wear & little surface noise
Where there are two conditions given, for example, Ex/VG, it means that the first side is in Excellent condition and the second VG.
Please note that I grade by sound. 78s can look quite beat up but still play Ex-
Labels are clean unless stated otherwise or as in photos.
