THE BEATLES: LP HELP! (Parlophone 5C062-04257). This is the very rare and very limited edition of the Beatles' classic LP issued for employees of the SHELL company in Holland. This LP was housed in a unique sleeve which has the SHELL logo as a backdrop. This LP was handed out to a limited number of SHELL employees and was never available in the shops commercially. Holland was the only country in which this LP was released this way and copies nowadays are very hard to find. The disc was pressed in Sweden, and bears the Dutch release number (while Sweden used the 7C-prefix, Dutch pressings can be identified by the 5C-prefix. In those years it was no exception for Sweden to press discs for Holland and vice versa). This is the somewhat rarer sleeve which has a black dot following the release number on the back cover, top right corner (see scan). Most copies are without this dot (YES, there are two versions of this cover!!!!). The disc is in NM condition and has almost no spindle wear, it probably hasn't been played more than once. Totally clean labels. The cover has a tear in the front, approximately 1½" to the right, near the mouth (might be repaired professionally, I haven't touched it) and a tiny dark spot beneath George's feet. Still, I'd grade this cover, very conservatively as VG++. All in all, a very presentable copy, albeit flawed, of this superb collector's item.
