Makes this one of the first EP's pressed!!!
The flapbacks are present on the reverse of the sleeve. I rate this as VG+++
The Beatles seventh official E.P.
The full title of the E.P. is actually;
"Extracts from the Album A Hard Days Night", and was the second of two E.P.'s with tracks from the latest L.P.
This E.P. contains four tracks from the album, but NOT featured in the film, the other contains four tracks from the film.
What this E.P. also provides is that just like the E.P. release of just two days previously, every track on side TWO of the album, except "I'll Be Back" was available on 45rpm format in 1964 !
This release also failed to enter the singles chart AND failed to reach the top of the E.P. charts.
The E.P. was released in a picture sleeve with eight pictures from the album, and sleeve notes were by Tony Barrow.
Finally, how do you spot original pressings ? ....
The typeface on more recent issues is both more modern and smaller than on the originals, while the actual catalogue number was actually BIGGER on originals.
Around the edge of the label, the words stating the rights of the publishers started with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." and the date on the label is shown as "Recording First Published 1964".
Across the press-out centres are the words, "sold in U.K. subject to resale price conditions, see price lists".
