Description
PCS 3042, First pressing with overwritten Matrix on side 1.
matrix nos / stampers are:
Side 1 YEX 142-1 (the “2” is hand etched on top of another number) 1 OD (with possibly a “6” or a “G” stamped under the “1”
side 2 YEX 143-1 1 OA
The vinyl looks VG+, clean and bright, in strong light. I’ve played it all through and it played with superb audio, no skips or sticking, no persistent crackle, no distortion, silence between most tracks. The only issues I noted are a few light ticks (not overly intrusive) on “follow the sun” caused by a tiny light scratch (shown in last photo) and some faint crackle in a few gaps between tracks. Otherwise no clicks and no background noise, nothing that affects the audio. Labels are clean with only a couple of spindle traces. KT tax code on side 1.
The inside opening opening gatefold sleeve is in VG+ condition, just general light wear, some wear to the spine at the centre and top /bottom but no splits, tears or handwriting.
The original emitex lined inner is included, it’s in excellent condition no splits or rips.
The vinyl has been cleaned on my pro-ject VC-S cleaning machine using non-alcohol based fluid.
Please see photos.
I’m also selling some other Beatles vinyl from my collection, see my other listings.
If you have any questions please ask.

Gradings refer to the UK Record Collector Magazine standard (shown below). I would only use "mint" for genuinely unplayed records. Visual grading is done under a spotlight. Play testing is done on my Pro-ject or Rega turntable.
If buyer is not satisfied for any reason please contact me, I will refund on safe return of item.
Record will be packaged in a proper mailer with stiffening. I will pack with the record removed from the outer sleeve.
Mint (M) - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
