Description
FOR SALE IS A RARE 1964 UK MONO FIRST PRESSING OF BEATLES FOR SALE ON VINYL BY THE BEATLES. THIS HAS "SOLD IN THE UK "ACROSS THE BLACK AND GOLD PARLOPHONE LABELS AND THE RARE Lieber-Stoller CREDIT ON KANSAS CITY. THIS HAD ADDITIONAL TEXT ADDED ON SECOND AND LATER PRESSINGS. THE VINYL IS HEAVILY PLAYED WITH HUNDREDS OF LIGHT MARKS BUT NONE ARE DEEP. IT GRADES G+. I PLAY TESTED AND IT SEEMS TO WORK JUST FINE THOUGH THERE WILL BE SOME LIGHT NOISE BETWEEN TRACKS. THE COVER IS VG- WITH A NAME AND SOME CREASES, BUT ITS NOT TRASHED AND IS STILL RESPECTABLE CONSIDERING THE COLLECTABILITY OF THE ITEM.

Notes
A similar release exists which has "STEREO" printed slightly more to the right on both labels and has got a tax code embossed on side 1: The Beatles - Beatles For Sale.Released in a gatefold sleeve that opens from the inside and with horizontal flipbacks in the centre spread.
First pressing. Black/yellow labels with silver lettering. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print. “Recording first published 1964? and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text.
This is for original pressings only with track A7 titled as just "Kansas City" (Lieber-Stoller)
Later pressings had to be retitled for legal reasons.
The original LP sleeve and the label listed the song as "Kansas City" (Lieber-Stoller).
After the attorneys for Venice Music complained, the record label was revised to read:
"Medley: (a) Kansas City (Leiber/Stoller) (P)1964 Macmelodies Ltd./KPM. (b) Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey (Penniman) Venice Mus. Ltd. (P)1964."
