1964 BEATLES Concert Ticket Stub August 28 1964 Forest Hills NY w/ Program!
FYI: "Apple Mono and Revolver" in the title are just words to drive traffic to this auction and have nothing to do with the items in the auction.
This amazing piece of Rock and Roll history is being offered by the original owner that attended the concert.
The August 28, 1964 was a very historic night in Beatles history. This was the night that Bob Dylan met the Beatles in the Delmonico hotel and introduced them to marijuana.

On 28 August 1964 Bob Dylan introduced The Beatles to cannabis.
The two parties were introduced by a mutual friend, the writer Al Aronowitz, at New York’s Delmonico Hotel. Upon arriving at The Beatles’ suite Dylan asked for cheap wine; Mal Evans was sent to get some, and during the wait Dylan suggested they have a smoke.
Brian and the Beatles looked at each other apprehensively. “We’ve never smoked marijuana before,” Brian finally admitted. Dylan looked disbelievingly from face to face. “But what about your song?” he asked. The one about getting high?”
The Beatles were stupefied. “Which song?” John managed to ask.
Dylan said, “You know…” and then he sang, “and when I touch you I get high, I get high…”
John flushed with embarrassment. “Those aren’t the words,” he admitted. “The words are, ‘I can’t hide, I can’t hide, I can’t hide…’”

This is is a rare opportunity to own a TRUE piece of rock and Roll history. There were only 16,000 tickets for this music festival that were printed. There are only four known that are still unused. These stubs are extremely rare and will only increase in value with time. The condition of the stub would be considered VG. It was and remains stapled to the first page inside of the tour booklet and has very light writing in pencil above "Gate A". There is a very light crease that runs through the first "U" in August. The program was purchased the same night as the concert (8/28/64). The book is in VG+ condition with the date Aug 28 1964 stamped on it three times on the front cover and twice on the back in the purple border that outlines the image.
