Description
This is the Beatles Yesterday and Today Butcher Cover LP in Stereo. Capitol ST 2553 released June 15, 1966, black label with rainbow colored band. The album cover, sleeve, and the record are in excellent condition. I am well aware of the value of this album if it was original. It is my understanding that less than 60,000 of the originals got out and most of those aren't around any longer. I don't know the origin of this copy but I do not believe it is an original or I wouldn't be selling it. I bought it several years ago from a seller in Spain. The record, cover, and inner sleeve are in such good condition that I really doubt that it is from 1966. I have both a peeled and unpeeled Butcher and this one looks the same except that it is stereo and in much better condition.
There is a slight "textured" feel to the front cover, while the back cover is smooth. The record has been played a couple of times. The shrink wrap is opened but still on the cover. The entire cover is protected by a mylar sleeve. The number 5 is in the lower right corner of the back cover, denoting the Capitol pressing plant.
This is a beauty and I hate to part with it but I am in financial trouble. If anyone is a book collector please check out my other auctions. I have a signed limited 122 of 500 copy of "The Regulators" by Stephen King as Richard Bachman. I will also be listing a bible from the 1600s.
Album will be carefully packaged and shipped. Shipping is $5 in the Continental US. Email me at bignome@comcast.net for a shipping quote for international or to answer any questions you may have.
Payment by PayPal only. Payment must be received within two days of auction's end.
