Beatles Stereo 3rd State Butcher Cover
You are bidding on a genuine 1966 3rd State Scranton Stereo (peeled) example of arguably the most desired collectible rock record in existence. Stereo editions are at least five times more rare (some say more) than their mono counterparts. This is a far better peel than what is usually offered on Ebay and is an excellent value . Combined with the removed trunk slick, this would make a great candidate for framing. Comes with Record , Inner Sleeve, COA and many cool freebies.
The peel is equally as nice and this presents as well as nearly any Stereo jacket we have offered in the past. Most of the peels offered on the internet have noticeable damage to the Butcher or Trunk slick, but not the case here. This is a gorgeous peel.
Overall, this is a fairly solid jacket overall with light wear and typical minor seam/spine issues that we see in jackets in the VG + range. The top seam on this is complete with just a small missing paper chip on the left side and a slight bit of paper loss/split at the very end (last half inch) of the top seam . There is a bit of a tip edge rash to the very end of the white top border past the Capitol catalog number on the right hand corner (see close up photo). Bottom seam shows some flaking/cracking/checking mostly confined to the middle of the seam but is not completely split. Please see close up photos of this section. The spine printing is all present but there are a small few paper chips (about 1/4 inch) missing on each end and a slightly larger chip missing in the very middle. The back of the jacket is fairly clean with only very minor wear/tanning/staining etc. Cleaner than most backs Please see photos for details. We strictly advise against placing a record in this jacket to avoid any further seam issues.
Comes with an original goldenrod 1966 inner sleeve (small piece of tape/wear on bottom ) and record in fair condition. Plays through but there is some scratching and scuffs that do create some noise on a few tracks. The trunk slick is included and in condition as shown in framable condition with some light wrinkling wear/ tear.
It should be emphasized that Butcher Covers of this quality and grade are highly desired by collectors and are genuinely scarce in this condition.
Payment is due within 24 hours of auction close.

This item is an original 1966 3rd State (Peeled) used example of the legendary Butcher Cover. This item is guaranteed to be authentic. Purchaser understands that this is a used item, sold "as is", and therefore we request that that all photos be clearly examined prior to bidding. Given the fact that this item has been professionally peeled and altered from a 2nd state (unpeeled) condition to a 3rd state (peeled) example, this item has condition elements that reflect the process of treatment of the item when it was glued at the Capitol factory in 1966 as well as conditional elements from the actual peeling process. These elements generally involve mild glue lines that were made at the pressing plant when the trunk cover was pasted over but also include some minor issues and/or minor touch up from the removal process. This is not a new item but a used one that has been restored through a tedious and careful process.
