If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic 3rd State (peeled) 1966 PA #3 Mono Butcher Cover that features a superbly peeled Butcher Slick that comes complete with the removed trunk slick in framable condition, read on. This peel is head and shoulders above peels that have sold in the last week or so for over 1k. Many collectors consider this album the "holy grail" of their record collection. While these jackets may seem costly to the entry level collector, these particular jackets are hard to source in this condition. A top example of a 3rd state jacket recently sold for 8k.These higher quality examples have tended to hold their value over the years. While that is certainly out of reach for most collectors, this offering is certainly more attainable. 
This Butcher Cover is one of the finest Scranton PA peels we have ever offered and is an excellent value that presents nicely and includes a solid removed trunk slick that is also in framable condition. This jacket has a few minor condition issues (see detailed description below) but make no mistake, this offering is in the highest top percentage of quality 3rd states.

Condition: 
Front of Jacket:

Front Peeled Butcher Slick (Performed By TheButcherCover) on this is superb and every bit as good as the better examples that we've sold in the past. The Butcher slick is vibrant and clear and factory glue lines from the paste over process back in 1966 are very light on this one and any touch up (if any) would be extremely minimal.
Please see photos to verify the specific conditions (photos may vary slightly in colors, shading, etc due to different lighting sources used during photography) described and feel free to contact with questions. The item shown is exact item that you will receive and is an awesome example of a high quality east coast peel. 

Seams: 
Top seam appears mostly complete and unspilt with just a few very small rubs (see photo of top seam). Bottom Seam also appears unspilt with the exception of a small 1" rub/crack at the very end of that seem at the end near the mouth edge (see photo of bottom seam). To protect the integrity of what remains of these seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be attempted to be forced or stored inside this jacket (See close up photos of seams). 
Spine: 
Spine is also mostly complete with all writing legible with some paper checking and two tiny rubs/paper loss at the very ends of both sides of the spine, which is very common on these. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:  
The back of the jacket is mostly clean displays nicely with only light wear and a few small marks/stains mostly confined to a small area in the middle of the jacket near the song titles. (see photo of back)
Trunk Slick: 
Removed Trunk Slick is included as shown in photos in very displayable condition with light staining mostly confined to the top and bottom right hand corner (see photo of trunk slick).
Record Inner Sleeve: 
Comes with East Coast mono pressing in Poor to Fair visual condition (many scratches and scuffs, was not properly cared for) plays through surprisingly well for this visual condition with some light crackling here and there but no skips on our player. 1965 Olive Colored Capitol Inner Sleeve (these Butcher Covers came with left over 1965 Olive sleeves sometimes) in decent condition with typical bottom and side splits of a few inches and light staining.

Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item.This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling/restoration process. Any minor imperfections are from either process.The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
