Description
This is a damaged First State Butcher Cover. It does not have a COA (Certificate of Authenticity), but I am including pictures of two First State Butchers with COA from my collection. The one that was taken on the Christmas tablecloth backdrop, is the one that I sold in September on eBay and has a COA from Perry Cox. The other First State, also with a COA from Perry Cox, is a mono with slight ink damage at the top, as also shown in the picture that is on the COA...The pictures show the measurements of all three covers at 12 5/16", which is a correct measurement for a First State (second and third states measure 12 3/16"). Another point that shows that this is a First State is the absence of any glue residue on the slick. It is a Los Angeles pressing which is a more difficult glue to remove. There are no nickle sized glue rings at the mouth, and no glue brush lines from the spine to the mouth. It appears to have a box knife slice about 5/8" from the mouth resulting in paper loss in several places. The central photo focal point is in excellent condition. The first 6 pictures are of the cover that is for sale on this listing. The next two are of the other First State with COA from Perry Cox that I will soon be listing, and the last picture is of the First State with COA from Perry Cox that I sold on eBay in September, and are included to show the measurements from spine to mouth. I WILL GUARANTEE THIS TO BE A FIRST STATE BEATLES BUTCHER COVER...
