The BEATLES.....1964 UK tour ORIGINAL PROGRAMME
Purchased at the LEICESTER De MONTFORD HALL concert on 10th October 1964
The story of the SIGNATURES IS INTERESTING....
After the concert the Beatles made their getaway in a Limousine as usual. The purchaser of this programme chased the car on his motorcycle and upon catching up thrust the programme through the open window, it was duly returned as the car and chasing motorcycle continued their speeding journey, the resulting 'signatures' are we assume , all that the boys could manage in the back of a speeding car!
So the autographs are not as clear as we would have liked but an intersting story never the less.
This programme is from what is often known as the MARY WELLS TOUR as the popular MOTOWN star featured in the show and in fact closed the first half of the show.
The programme is basically clean and complete, light creasing near the spine, and very minor wear down the spine itself.Small mark on rear cover...see scan, and very lightly surface rubbed, but AN INTERESTING ITEM WITH A UNIQUE HISTORY!
