PLEASE READ FIRST!

I'm having to make this even clearer as people are still buying records I'm grading low and as a 'collection filler', and then complain about the audio quality when they try to play them. As I do not own a record player I VISUALLY GRADE my records, so I cannotguarantee that discs will be click, skip and noise free (although any marks that may cause such problems will be highlighted in the description).

All photos are of the actual item on sale. I do not use stock or 'borrowed' images.

Exceptionally Rare 'SOLID CENTRE' Contract Pressing!!

On offer here is an exceptionally rare, original 'solid centre' press copy of the Beatles single I Feel Fine / She's a Woman.

Back in 1964, when this single was released, pretty much every copy that was ever manufactured had a 'push out' centre. This was so that the centre could be very easily removed so that it could be loaded into a jukebox. Pretty much 99.9% of all original copies out there have the push out centre - Just have a look now on eBay and you'll see that every single copy currently for sale has the push out centre.

EMI never manufactured original copies of this single with a solid centre so the only copies that have surfaced that do have a solid centre have been contract presses (this copy is no exception). It's not known why such a tiny number of copies were ever produced with a solid centre, but they were.

The solid centre copies are impossible to find! According to Popsike, In 10 years just 6 copies have ever been offered for sale! Well now, here's the 7th and it could be yours!

Title I Feel Fine / She's a Woman Year of Release 1964 Catalogue Number R 5200 Label UK Parlophone with Solid Center and 'Sold in UK' statement Tax Code on Disc KT (in deadwax at 9 o'clock above mother number) Sleeve Manufacturer - Side 1 Matrix Number 7XCE 18171-1N Side 2 Matrix Number 7XCE 18172-1N Side 1 Stampers 1 / Side 2 Stampers 8 / Company Sleeve Condition The sleeve is in VG condition. The generic company sleeve is a little worn and creased as you can see in the photos below but there are no tears and splits and, overall, is looking pretty decent. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition
(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in F/G condition. Being offered as a collection filler due to how exceptionally rare and collectible these solid centre copies are. The playing surface has a lot of scuffs and marks but there's nothing nasty or serious looking. Looks like it would play with a fair amount of light crackle. Label Condition The labels are in VG condition. The labels are clean but look a little rubbed, but overall looking decent. Has some spindlewear and a little whitening around the centrehole.


All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.

Records are posted out tracked and insured (where applicable) to comply with eBay and PayPal seller protection policy.

All LPs will be mailed out in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP outside the sleeve and extra
sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable.

My Vinyl Grading:

MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.
