Original (1N/1N matrix) 1963 UK Parlophone PMC 1202 Mono LP
Very interesting variation, in that the labels omit the 'Recording First Published 1963' beneath the bracketed matrix number print.........these labels were used for a short period only , just after the initial run of Gold/Black labels, and just before the regular Yellow/Black which added 'Recording First Published 1963'............very few were issued without this print at the time, and are now increasingly hard to find..................
The disc has minimal surface use, with no marks or wear, absolutely great sound quality : accurately graded at EXCELLENT condition.
The original EJ Day sleeve (photo below) has very light use, very clean and bright : EXCELLENT condition.
A great copy of a great LP , complete with the correct polylined Emitex liner sleeve. I have also included the original shop sale receipt from 1963, bought from Jill Hansons Record Shop, Coventry, UK..................nice extra item........

Notes:- The Beatles : George Harrison (Vocals,guitar) John Lennon (Vocals, guitar,harmonica) Paul McCartney (Vocals,bass) Ringo Starr (Vocals,drums) Recorded at Abbey Road Studios,London,England. "Love Me Do" and "P.S.I Love You" were recorded in September 1962. The othr 12 tracks were recorded on February 11th 1963 (Twist & Shout was the last song to be recorded) Liner notes by Tony Barrow
Here were four lads, highly experienced on stage, but with little or no idea of what a recording studio was like. They were subtly marshalled by the much-respected George Martin to deliver an entire album that was exactly what the fans wanted, but was still a surprise. Things were never as simple as this again, yet the genius is there. Examples are Lennon's unmatchable rasping on "Twist And Shout," McCartney's graceful ease in singing "I Saw Her Standing There," Harrison's sparse but definite Gretsch chords, and Starr's ace vocal on "Boys."
All items carefully graded audio-visually, and are played on a high quality system. In the event of discs needing cleaning, I use a VPI 16.5 cleaning unit, which does a fine job .................
Please feel able to bid with confidence , as a collector myself I realize the requirements in the gradings of sleeves and discs , and how important it is to recieve items in the condition as advertised in listings........I have been a lifelong music fan , my first concert visit was in 1957 (Birmingham Town Hall Skiffle Contest!) and have bought records of all the great music since 1959 , and had the privelege of seeing most of the great artists live too (I saw The Beatles twice....)
