Glen Campbell At Wembley – Presented from the Wembley Silk Cut Country Music Festival. This is a very rare album from one of the bill toppers of the 1984 Wembley Silk Cut Country Music Festival. This Wembley performance must rate as one of his best, and led to one of the GREATEST standing ovations in the history of the festival. This specially commissioned BBC Radio Play Album was not available for commercial sale, and it is clearly stated on the back. “BBC Radio Play Music is not available to the public.”
In addition, only a limited number were actually ever pressed, thus makes this record even more valuable. It is also considered a promotional LP! This is an imported LP from England. It is on the TAIR label. #87047. Release date is 1987. The label says BBC RADIOPLAY MUSIC. The picture of Glen on the front left corner is him with the beard, playing guitar and singing.
The back has the entire write-up of all the tracks/composers/duration/publishers/programming!There is also a write-up on Glen Campbell as well. This disc contains some GREAT tracks and a few medleys. He also does “I Love How You Love Me”, “You Are My Sunshine” with Emmylou Harris, “They Still Dance To Waltzes In England” and a medley of two tracks. One is Galveston/Country Boy, the other medley contains 4 songs all written by Marty Robbins-“El Paso”, and others. This is an extremely RARE LP.
