"MIND ON THE RUN" - - BASIL KIRCHIN WITH THE LONDON STUDIO ORCHESTRA - - DE WOLFE DW/LP 2966 - - ABSOLUTE MEGA RARITY, ON THIS ORIGINAL 1966 10" RED/BLUE TRUMPET LABEL ISSUE, FROM THE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER DE WOLFE STABLE !!! - - Featuring the music of Basil Kirchin and John Coleman, under the direction and baton of Kirchin himself, this is THE 1966 original release !!! - - The laminated flipback jacket is in EX+ condition, with just a slight crease to one corner and a VERY slight mark on the reverse - - The disc is gleaming clean and also warrants a VERY STRONG EX+ grading and plays absolutely superbly!!! - - The music, quoted in the De Wolfe catalogue as, "modern drama music with an edge", is superbly performed, with great brass section, superb reed and woodwind work plus a driving guitar. - - Incredibly exciting and driving or moody and foreboding, it makes for great listening indeed!!! - - Known for his selection of some of the finest Britjazz musicians and the likes of Jimmy Page and Big Jim Sullivan for example to perform his works, the calibre of musicianship here certainly shines thru !!! - - Trax include, the title track, "Mind on the run", "Where to go", "Paranoia", "The hustle", "Chrysalis", "Club Date", plus 6 more gems - - This is excellent stuff indeed from the late great, ultra innovative Kirchin!!! - - An ABSOLUTE MEGA RARITY, this is not to be missed !!! - - Started with NO reserve, thanks for your interest and good luck with your bidding - - £29.99
