Italian pressing, Music scene MS-5 (~1972)

Don't let you mislead by the title (Tension, mysterious, spatial), this is a total avant-garde concept Lp by Italian library supremo Fabio Fabor together with flute player Giancarlo Barigozzi.

Incredibly complex, deep, and inspired work that could be compared with the "Worlds within wolrds" records by Uk genius Basil Kirchin. Briefly, a concept record exploring the man, his states of mind and his nature.

A stunning avant garde masterpiece fusing Fabio Fabor's electronics with the jazz qualities of Barigozzi. Expect some mental clanky, mechanical, creepy and repetitive electronics plus loads of whirling and haunting sounds, weird vocals, sinthy birds FX and so on...; Electric piano bits (certainly by Oscar Rocchi), Piano drips, ultra fuzzy Guitars riffs, sinister Cello, sparse free jazz drums plus the exquisite Barigozzi work: superb free Soprano sax melodies, echoed Tenor sax solos plus loads of free, buzz and elegant flutes!

Small focus on the most weird tracks. "LSD trip" (2nd clip), with haunting cello surrounded by some incredible and psychedelic evil modulated jabbering and weird vocals. "Mechanical jungle", with catchy drum machine rhythm, echoed and whirling jungle-like electronics and a soo fantastic classic "Tropical\Uribamba" funky flute playing by Barigozzi! Listen!!
