High Society finally gets the release of Peter Doherty’s ever changing side project, Babyshambles underway. Rough Trade have kindly allowed their rakish outlaw to record his independently written songs on this small London label. The first release is the signature track “Babyshambles” backed by “Flophouse”. Two very different tracks, the A side being a stumbling call to arms, the B a bare bones, soulful plea. The plan is to put out a series of very limited addition singles (2000 CD’s and 1000 7”s) every six weeks for the rest of 2004, but in the chaotic world of P. Doherty, even the best laid plans oft go astray. Get em while you can!!
