Progressive rock unit Babe Ruth was formed in Hertfordshire, England in 1971 by singer Janita "Jenny" Haan, guitarist Alan Shacklock (whose surname lent the group their original moniker), and bassist Dave Hewitt. Pianist Dave Punshon and drummer Dick Powell joined the lineup prior to the 1971 release of Babe Ruth's debut single, "Elusive"; the 1972 LP, First Base -- which credited the explosive Haan with "vocal power" -- generated the group's best-known song, the Shacklock-penned "Wells Fargo," and despite limited interest at home, the album earned a following on North American shores, going gold in Canada.

Shipping and Handling:
All LP’s are securely packaged in a protective shipping mailer/box. The mailers are made of stiff cardboard and I've found them to be very reliable. In order to take advantage of the shipping discounts on multiple purchases, please pay for all items in one transaction. When calculating the shipping, please note a Double LP Set is considered two LP's, Boxed Collections are based on the # of discs in the collection.
Shipping and handling rates (and associated shipping discounts for multiple purchases) are as follows, based on destination:
USA - Free 1st LP + $.50 each additional LP (Media Mail)
Canada - $6.50 1st LP + $3.00 each additional LP (Airmail/First Class International)
Mexico - $8.50 1st LP + $4.00 each additional LP (Airmail/First Class International)
International (all other) - $14.00 1st LP + $4.00 each additional LP (Airmail/First Class International)
Domestic/USA Customers - The normal/default shipping method is 'Media Mail' via the US Postal Service, since that's the method I've found most people choose. It is a little slower than Priority Mail, but cheaper and very reliable. The Post Office says delivery time is 3-9 days, though it's usually to you in less than a week. However, if you need the item(s) in a hurry, please email me after the purchase and I'll get you a quote based on your zip-code (the average Priority Mail is around $7.50 for 1 LP).
