For those who have followed my auctions lately, you know I'm thinning out my collection and am selling off duplicate autographs etc.If you're checking in for the first time, that's what's behind this. As well as a kid going to law school next year! The 3 autographs offered here I also have on other pictures or record jackets so this is part of the thinning out process. I'm a little reluctant to call this piece unique but it very well may be! It is a photo insert page (glossy but paper)from an old British Syndicate Chapter Muddy Waters LP picturing Muddy, James Cotton, Little Walter & Louis Myers with Little Walter. And it has been hand signed by Muddy, Cotton & Luther Johnson Jr.! I personally had it autographed by them after their gig at the Tomorrow Club in Youngstown, Ohio on June 25, 1978. An unused ticket from the show will also be included. The Waters & Johnson were obtained backstage in Muddy's little dressing room while I had to track Cotton outside to get his! He was unwinding & cooling off after his performance but as always, was very gracious. All 3 are signed in thin blue sharpie and are clear and strong. The condition of the photo is less than mint. As I stated, it's thin paper and on close examination, you can see some light wrinkles and there is a little nick on the cheek of the Little Walter picture.Also, I originally had it taped to a bulletin board so there are tape remnants on the back. Right above the "s" in "James", it looks like a shadow or smudge but it actually where the tape took off a layer of paper. It didn't break through to the photo but obviously came close! These are flaws but honestly don't detract. The thing looks great!! It WILL COME framed & matted as pictured (roughly 12 1/2 X 15 1/2 inches in size)and you really would have no cause to take it out as I haven't since I put it in those 27 years ago! $12.00 priority postage which includes confirmation of delivery and insurance.
