Description

2 hard to find Australian only Roy Orbison EP's from 1967

1. 'Communication Breakdown' EP

 London/EMI - EZA 7589

 Contains 4 hits on the MGM label from 1966;

A: 'Too Soon Know' (UK #3/ US #68)/ 'Twinkle Toes' (UK #29/ US #39)

B: 'There Won't Be Many Coming Home' (UK #18)/ 'Communication Breakdown' (US #60)

Condition:

Cover: VG++, very light ring wear, some small minor creases, but no rips or tears. Very tidy indeed and looks great!

45: VG+, visual inspection shows very light scratches and minor scuffs on a shiny well kept 45. Sound has very light, minor crackling but no jumps or pops. A-side label has some damage to the left of centre where a small sticker was removed (not obscuring titles though), this has been disguised by some black texta. B-side label is in very good condition with no issues.

2. ‘Breakin’ Up Is Breakin’ My Heart’ EP

London/ EMI – EZA 7586

Contains 4 tracks recorded for the MGM label from 1965/66; incl. 3 Orbison hits;

A: 'Ride Away' (UK #34/ US #25)/ 'Claudette' (US #30 for Everly Brothers, 1958)

B: 'Crawling Back' (UK #19/ US #46)/ 'Breakin’ Up Is Breakin’ My Heart' (UK#22/ US #31)

Condition:

Cover: VG+ for age - no tears, splits or handwriting, but as shown in photo, there are some light marks, some ring wear and slight fading on front cover. There are some texta marks with texta colour approximating cover colour to disguise cover wear on a couple of spots on the edges of front cover. Need to look close to notice. On back cover, there is a tear where a price sticker has been removed and some 'white out' in a couple of little spots around the track title 'Ride Away'. These minor blemishes can be seen in photo, they're not too obtrusive though and these are biggest issues with an otherwise well kept EP.

45: VG+ for age – Sounds great and plays well, very light crackles with one or two light pops but no jumps. There is some residue from where a sticker has been removed on the A-side label and a white sticker with some handwriting on B-side label, not obscuring song titles though.

3. 'Heartbreak Radio' CD single (tracks are 'Heartbreak Radio'/ 'Blue Angel'/ 'Claudette'/ 'Lana') (1992)

bonus CD single thrown in as added incentive - small sticker residue mark on front cover and some damage on top side of CD disc that doesn't affect playing. This item is a free add-on.

A great Orbison EP pairing, so don't miss out on these scarce Oz releases with bonus CD single

Enjoy,
