Description
Condition: VG/VG
Atomic Rooster- Made In England. This is a seldom seen US test pressing, complete with the information and timing sheet. This was used to confirm the final sound quality before being pressed commercially. The record is VG- both sides play with light surface noise during playback, which is most prominent in quiet sections. The record itself has a few paper scuffs and light hairline scratches, and has been ultrasonically cleaned. The test pressing labels have writing labeling each side. The white jacket is in VG condition with shelf wear and discoloration from aging. The front cover has the album's info sheet taped to the front cover, as well as writing stating the release date (August 2, 1972) and presumably the date this was pressed or received (June 27, 1972). The back cover has writing on Sharpie that states ATOMIC ROOSTER Test Pressing Release Date 8/16/72. I believe this was commercially released in England in June and in the US in October, but I haven't been able to find an exact date. Comes with a generic CBS inner sleeve, which has a split on the bottom seam. Please contact me with questions, thanks!
