Atomic Rooster, Atomic Roooster- LP - Original 1st UK Pressing- 1970- on the B&C labels- CAS 1010- The rarest of the 3 Mixes - (Matrix CAS + 1010 + A/CAS + 1010 + B (Flute Mix) Their first LP, Atomic Roooster, was released in February 1970, along with a single, "Friday the 13th". By March, Crane felt it was best that they add a guitarist, and recruited John Du Cann from acid-progressive rock band Andromeda. However, just as Du Cann joined, bassist-vocalist Graham left. Du Cann (who played guitar and sang for Andromeda) took over vocal duties, whilst Crane overdubbed the bass lines on his Hammond organ with a combination of left hand and foot pedals. Atomic Rooster resumed gigging until the end of June 1970, when Carl Palmer announced his departure to join Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Ric Parnell filled the drum spot until August, when the young Paul Hammond was recruited from Farm to the drum spot. Vinyl - Audio Grading- EX+- I have played the record all the way through on a NAD Turntable and it sounds fantastic- There are no clicks, pops etc- there is only minor static noise in the run- in/out grooves. Vinyl - Visual Grading- VG +- minor surface marks, paper scuffs- but still in great condition for it's age. Labels - Side A- VG+- slight surface damage, mainly to the bottom left side of the label- but the spindle hole looks undamaged Labels - Side B- EX- bright clear label with no damage or spindle wear. Cover- Front Side- EX- Still a great looking cover with only minor signs of discolouration- Rear Cover- VG+ Apart from slight residue from a sticker removal, the cover is in great shape. Spine - still legible but has been slightly damaged in places - signs of rubbing and edge wear to the corners.  All items are despatched by signed for 1st class delivery!
