Description

Up for auction is an extremely rare original 1971 German pressing of this monster kraut rock masterpiece with the gimmick foldout cover and the impossibly hard to find inserts that only came with the original early pressings of this album. Visually, the vinyl looks EX bordering on EX+ with only a few minor imperfections (please message me if you would like specific details). The cover is in exceptionally good condition given the fact that it's a 44-45 year old copy (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS) and both inserts are in NM (temple sketch) and EX (typed promotional letter in German) condition respectively. Now for those of you who know this album as well as I do, you obviously know that there are significant portions of this music that are ambient in nature and that start off very quietly and gradually build and build. Given this and given the fact that this is a 44-45 year old copy, there is some minor surface noise throughout these quieter sections and even some very sporadic clicks and a few medium pops here and there. However, this doesn't detract from the listening experience and is an extremely clean sounding copy overall. It is my firm belief that one would be very hard-pressed to find an original copy that sounds better than this and I play grade this as EX- to EX overall.
