I just purchased some very rare Gospel/Modern Soul Private and local Miami labels from a retired Gospel DJ who worked in FT. Lauderdale Florida. There are a number of amazing gospel/soul lp's from the 70's & 80's.
Up first is an extremely rare private pressing of Arthur Freeman "My Jesus" LP ~This is on his own label called Reborn Records which was later picked up and distributed on Joy.Same LP as this has a promotional label and is on Reborn. This is homegrown as it has hand stickers on labels as well as rear which claims it is distributed by Tam-Pog indi record distributors in Sebring Florida. One of a kind press.
Recorded in the Florida Prison System in 1984 and sent to this Radio Station for programming. 1st track "JESUS" is a killer funk track.
LP is VG+ w light scuffs. Jacket is VG w light foxing and creases.
This version has never ever shown up~ As rare a modern gospel lp as you will ever find. "HOMEGROWN"
