Description
You are bidding on an original '60s US Blue Note Mono pressing of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers' classic 1961 LP The Freedom Rider.
It's a New York pressing. DG on Side 1. The run-out groove is stamped with the Plastylite 'Ear' mark, plus 'BNLP 4156' and 'Van Gelder'.

There is minimal shelf wear at the top left corner of the sleeve and very minimal light scuffing on a small area of Side 2 which does not affect playability / is inaudible. The record is otherwise black, glossy, plays loud and dynamically and is in Excellent Condition.
This final recording of the great Lee Morgan / Wayne Shorter Messengers is a classic on a par with their best work, and received 4 1/2 of 5 stars from Allmusic: http://www.allmusic.com/album/the-freedom-rider-mw0000597050
