Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 4156,Art Blakey Freedom Rider, a blue and white New York USA Microgroove, deep groove (side 2 only)* label original mono issue of this classic record with the ear (p) mark and Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in Near Mint condition showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The laminated cover, with the 43 West 61st St. New York 23 address, is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks but a little loss around the spindle hole on side 1. An original thumbnail inner sleeve is included as well. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode. This is a superb collector's grade copy of this original mono Blue Note with all the appropriate markers evident.
